Coblation uses radiofrequency energy to convert saline solution into a precisely focused plasma field. The energized particles in this plasma field have sufficient energy to break molecular bonds,excising or dissolving soft tissue at low temperatures, typically 40 degrees C to 70 degrees C, as opposed to the high temperatures of electrocautery. The relatively low temperatures of Coblation preserve the integrity of surrounding healthy tissue, which results in less pain and faster recovery for patients.

Allergy/sinusitis  Allergy Skin Tests, which test for Type 1 Ig-E mediated hypersensitivity against Inhalant and Food allergens are available (results ready within 15 minutes). In-vitro tests for both IgE and IgG-mediated hypersensitivity against foods and common inhalants are also available. A small sample of blood will be taken.  Sinusitis and Nose Pathology Evaluation - Endoscopy directed examination with video-photography performed. When necessary, CT Scan Sinuses can be arranged on same day with report available the next day.  Sinus Surgery, including Balloon Sinuplasty- FDA approved minimally-invasive procedure ideal for some sinus problems done alone or with traditional Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) - Performed with power-instrumentation "microdebriders".

Snoring/Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)

Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Evaluation Of Snoring/OSA -A full ENT/Head and Neck examination (including Flexible Nasopharyngolaryngoscopy) is required to evaluate the likely causes and severity of snoring/OSA.   Polysomnography (PSG) also known as Sleep Study is usually needed for a full evaluation. Ambulatory PSG can be arranged in the natural home environment or in the comfort of the hotel room. The data and report is usually ready in 2-3 days. We have the latest FDA-approved WatchPat200 which is a wrist-worn device that is user-friendly and gives accurate and reliable result.
